 Designed by six-time Spanish champion Pepe Gancedo, who has developed more than 18 golf courses throughout Spain, some of which are rated among the top 100.

Considered the Picasso of golf course design, Pepe put together 3 nine nine-hole courses in Cocotal Country Club, making the trees the emblematic characteristic of the course. Named after the hundreds of coconut trees spread around the course, Cocotal also has numerous lakes, which are a bird watcher's haven.

La Cana Golf Club is a 27 hole golf course consisting of three nines: Tortuga, Hacienda and Arrecife. This Punta Cana golf course features 14 holes with ocean views of the crystal blue Caribbean Sea. Designed by P.B. Dye, this course has become a favorite of golfers from all over the world, and keeping in line with Puntacana Resort’s efforts to be as environmentally friendly as possible, La Cana Golf Club was the first course in the Caribbean to use paspalum, a grass seed that can be watered using sea water. Golf Magazine has compared La Cana to Pebble Beach and declared it the “number one course in the Caribbean.” La Cana Golf Club is open to all Homeowners of the Puntacana Resort as well as all registered guests of Tortuga Bay, The Westin Puntacana Resort, Home Rentals and The Four Points by Sheraton.

Punta Espada Golf Course was designed by Jack Nicklaus. It is ranked as the best golf course in the Caribbean and Mexico by GolfWeek. It is the only course in the Dominican Republic that is home to a PGA Senior Tour Champion’s Tour stop. Punta Espada is an exclusive championship golf course located inside the Cap Cana Real Estate project. This 7000-yard, par 72 Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf Course has eight holes along the Caribbean Ocean, and you can see the ocean from all 18 holes.

Punta Espada was designed to incorporate the natural features of the landscape into its topography; the bluffs, the Beach, the waterways and the foliage. The design guarantees that golfers of all levels are accommodated, including those playing at world championship level. Designed along the natural cliffs, bays, ocean coves, and inland lakes and coral quarries, Corales Golf Course rates among the World’s finest golf experiences. The exhilarating challenge culminates playing the Devil’s Elbow, Corales’s last three holes. The Devil’s Elbow features the striking eighteenth hole with a dramatic forced carry over the cliff lined Bay of Corales, an inspired capstone to a memorable and breathtaking golf experience. 

Today you play the brand new Las Iguanas Golf Course at Cap Cana Resort in the Dominican Republic! The back nine holes open in November 2025 with all 18 expected to be ready in 2026.
